You won't get alot of help on this forum on that subject, I don't think. Alot of these guys seem to be "purist".
I for one am curious about the same thing. They cross the westerns alot and Eastern, Southern and Westerns are all Heterodon so I can't see why it would not work.

well as for the purinst thing, if anyone won't respond because of that, i already said that i wasn't going to try it. and if i did i don't think i could sell the offspring to anyone, and i wouldn't release them as they aren't natural. i assure anyone that it is totally curiousity. are morphs considered "pure"?
That, or we just don't know. Sometimes no one's tried these things before. I'd put my money on it being possible, though.
If you're lucky you might get offspring that look just like Westerns but only eat toads

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
Actually I would hope you would get some that look like Easterns and eat rodents. But the funny thing about nature is it always does something unexpected. You hardly see any crosses that look any good anyway. On the hybrid forum people take two beautiful snakes cross breed them and make one ugly one. LOL.
