What is NY City law pertaining to reptile exotics ?

In particular Boa/python and lizards other than Iguanas. Please only respond if you are sure you know what you are talking about.

The law is clear that you may not own them, however it appears to be non enforced most of the time. Check out the article in the NY Daily TImes on the non enforcment.
