I'm not planning on breeding any of my snakes any time soon but my roomates and i have 2 cal kings and 2 garters. just judging from the tails it looks like we have a pair for both. we've never probed them to make sure so i am real hesitant to even try it. is this something that i should leave to experienced people or is it something that can easily be talked through. also, how do you restrain them when you do it, use the tube method or just have someone hold them. the one king would not repsond well at all to being restrained. thanks

If you have never seen it done and don't have a real pressing need to know the sex of your snakes, I would suggest you don't do it. You can read about it and look at pictures but you run the risk of seriously hurting you snake.

If you know of a good herp pet store they may do it for you for cheap or free.
