Small chance of a savannah

SoulSkater Dec 23, 2003 12:57 PM

I found a pet shop that I'd never been in before and they had a really nice argus monitor. I got talking to the owner about it and he said he got it from a guy who breeds a couple of different species of monitor. He's going to find out if he's got any savannah's for me. I'm trying not to get my hopes up though. If he doesn't I think I'm going to give up and look into getting something different.

They are all WC (Bosc), the last CBB were Ravis, and it was at least 5 years before that when the last captive breeding occurred.

How do you know?
Just because it isn't on the forums doesn't mean it hasn't happened.
Do you know how many dumerils clutches I've hatched? Ackies? Crosses? Caudo's?
There is a great big world of monitor keepers outside of these forums.

After all it sells them faster to unsuspecting customers, especially when they are $5-50 for captive born.
How many do you know of being bred anywhere?
Ive only heard of one set of eggs in Holland in the last year or more, yet they didnt know if the eggs were any good, or how to tell if they were any good. They never gave any follow up info, I guess not, they were very exited when the eggs were layed and posted it everywhere.
I never referenced dums did I? If they asked who breeds dums Id tell them you have, and ask you.
Besides Ive never heard of any $150 CBB savannahs.
Anyone who can prove it is welcome to prove that they have, right?
