multiple frillies?

diablocds1 Dec 23, 2003 02:00 PM

Hi I have a male frilled dragon, he is about 13.5 inches. I have had him for about 4 months. I want to get another frilled in a couple of weeks. He has a big enough enclosure to house 2 frillies. what i was wondering is whether or not it is bad to house a male and a female together at a young age like that. i was also wondering what size female to get and anything else would be a great help. I would love to have two frillies, they are so much fun. any advise would be great

the only safe thing to do is to keep the male and female in separate cages until the female is full grown and mature (usually takes at least 2 yrs.) if you house them tothether at a young age, you risk the male breeding the female at a very young age which could cause egg binding and kill the female.
