Orange Ghost Spiders!!!! ***PICS*** (dial-up warning!)

nerd_inc Jun 03, 2003 07:50 PM

We are very excited to introduce the latest member of the Spider ball family. These Orange Ghost Spiders just completed their first sheds and we can’t wait to see what the coming months will bring. One of the nicest attributes of these little gems is the intense orange lateral coloration bordering their white sides – typically this pigment would be yellow on a normal Spider, and will become brighter with each shed.

Enjoy!

Very nice double K.
When does it stop? I will never catch up.
You must have the most versified ball morphs collection going.
Are you going to the PA show next week?

Thanks for the kind words - hopefully it doesn't stop!! We're just constantly thinking "what's next," and so far the answer each time has been more than we ever expected. Pretty exciting!!!

Sorry we won't be at the PA show next week - maybe next time around.

If it's a NERD post that is signed off as "K", it's Kara. Kevin almost always signs off as Kev (or Kevin), or else some sort of off-the-wall handle that makes it pretty obvious. Sometimes it's K "the blonde one" (him) or K "the red one" (me), and usually digresses from there.

Sorry for any confusion.

Oh my! I screamed when I saw these(well almost, lol). They look even better here than when they first hatched. WOW! I now have a new favorite morph, Albino Spider. Whew, still trying to catch my breath. Congrats on all your newbies and good luck with the rest of the season!

PS- I see that you guys go to the White Plains, NY shows. I live in CT and that's the closest show to me. Perhaps I will see all these sweet snakes in person there in July?

ballboutique Jun 03, 2003 08:18 PM

No need for me to go to show.
Kevin is a lot of fun. I like his humor.

...or is it still a secret? Man, I want to move up there and clean out cages for you guys just so I can watch the magic happen!

nerd_inc Jun 03, 2003 08:32 PM

Sure...these are from a Spider het Ghost X Ghost breeding...we got lucky and hit the odds on two of the eggs in this clutch, resulting in the Spider/Ghost combo.

I promise there's more cage cleaning involved than magic, . If you're ever in the neighborhood give us a shout.

Beatiful.Couple of questions, have the green spider eyes turned orange ghost black in this morph? Is the cool green scales around the eye the only area with that coloration? And how many of these did you get to a clutch. Beautiful morph. Thanks, Craig

BoaRepublic Jun 03, 2003 10:27 PM

I tend to think 400 grams is a cool size to have balls at...
So nice guys. GREAT for the Spiders!!!

You guys at NERD never stop amazing me, WOW! I can't wait to see what the next new morph will be! Keep it up! As long as you don't beat me to my dream morph, which I won't mention, because it would be done before I could afford to do it for sure! Keep up the good work. By the way, any new info on the coral glows, I want some hets!

idiotshot Jun 04, 2003 01:34 PM

WOW! Those spiders rock, but the normal looking ones are awsome. Keep it up.
