muscle tone question

maizeysdad Dec 23, 2003 04:23 PM

Hi gang,

I have an '03 ball that I've had for just over 2 weeks. According to the seller, it last ate about 4 weeks ago. It looks healthy, but I wonder about the appropriate muscle tone of a young ball. Can anyone describe the "right" feel of a healthy young python?

Also, it wants nothing to do with food so far. How long would you wait (with a young snake like this) before you became concerned?

Thanks.

4 weeks inbewteen a feeding? i would try and feed him everyother day. Start with live hoppers. This my entice his appetite. I personally didnt switch mine over to frozen thawed till he was eating regularly for about 2 months. if your trying to feed it frozen thawed, that may be the case.
