feeding baby water

my baby water does not eat in regular cycles he will eat a big meals 3 times a week is this okay or should I try to get him to eat more small meals. he is quiet shy but i dont like to leave insects in his encloseure any tips for feeding would help.

How big is it? What are you feeding it now? I've found that once they realize that they don't HAVE to chase crickets, they generally won't. I feed a combination of f/t fuzzies, cooked ground chicken (fortified w/RepCal and Herptivite as per mfg instructions), raw ground turkey (fortified the same as the chicken), crickets and superworms. I also offer f/t smelts, but they don't seem to interested in this yet. All but the crix are put in a medium dog bowl on a daily basis, with 2-3 of these food items offered at a time. Both animals are eating good and growing at a good rate. Give us some more specifics and maybe we can help out with some more specific suggestions. Billy
