What incubation temperature do other members prefer for F Pardalis eggs?

anson Dec 23, 2003 07:47 PM

Also does locale of the cham make a difference in the temp you use forincubation? I have a Nosey Be pair.
I have read tons of articles but I prefer input from other forum members as to what has worked best for you.
I think some of the forum members have better info than lots of things I have read in outdated books and articles.
How long was your incubation?

We treat all panther eggs the same - no matter what locale. We incubate in a dark closet - one that stays between 68-76 degreesF.

The average hatch time for our eggs under these conditions has been 8-9 months - but we have had a few individual eggs go as long as 1 yr and 2 weeks (even though the others hatched in 8-9 months). Currently, we have such a clutch - one baby is 3 days old while the others are 3 months.

We have heard of raising the temps during the last couple of months to near 80 - but we prefer to keep what works as it is. We have hatched out nearly 30 clutches this way.

Hope this helps some,
-----
