Nice pictures, I like your aquarium hood, it beats the way I have mine set up since you could fill your tank to the top. Probably helps with the filtration, especially with all of those fish ((was that a Bass??)), what are you using for filtering? Also, how do you have your basking area set up in there, I couldn't see it in the pictures.

This link explains the filter I built (lots of photos)

I will take some pics of basking areas after work, (im running late)

Ah, that explains the bath scrubby thing...nice design though. My turtle tank is only a 40 gallon at the moment so the Fluval 104 with an underground filter is what I am using now. I will have to upgrade this summer to a bigger tank so your filter website is very handy.

The bath scrubby in the big tank is just a toy to play with. Although im rather pleased with the performance of my filter, its not for everyone. Its VERY loud, and creates a lot of humidity in the air. When I see people talk about their hang on tank filter being loud, I think its funny. Mine sounds like a serious waterfall is in the living room. I still have to vacuum the gravel and do occasional water changes, but I only change the filter floss in the first 2 trays about once a month. Another thing, having a gravity fed filter like mine doesnt scrub the water. It removes particles, but the water does have a slight yellow tint, so its not "crystal" clear. Only water changes will really get rid of the tint. Perhaps an additional water scrubber would clear the water more, but im fine with what I have. Nothings dying, and everyone seems happy. Im no scientist, I just like to build stuff.
