Veiled getting ready to shed?

ludachris821 Dec 23, 2003 08:17 PM

my new veiled is about 4 months old and i have had him for about 3 weeks so i havent seen him shed yet. his skin is begining to wrinkle on his main body and i see some of the skin around his joints starting to slightly peal. when he bends in different derections it looks kinda like when you have gotten some sun and the skin wrinkles when you bend. he gets plenty of water and humidity and i shower him with warm water with a mist bottle so he's not dehydrated or anything so is he starting to shed? he eats plenty and no stress colors or anythin. any help would be apreciated.

By the time you get this, he's probably made it obvious that he's shedding. Usually by the time you notice it, it's almost done. They'll turn a lighter color and look kinda dull, then shed usually pretty quickly (less than 24 hrs) and then have a bright new coloration. Congrats... I guess....
