May acquire a Jungle, some questions.

This woman needs to find a home for her Jungle Carpet Pythons. I have experience with boids. So, I said I wouldn't mind taking it. Well, She is giving me this cage with it. I am not too sure on it's dimensions. I know for a fact the cage is 7ft tall and it is either 3ft wide and 2ft deep or 2ft wide and 2ft deep. Are these dimensions suitable for its entire life? The carpet is a male. He is about 5 feet now. This cage costed the woman at least $1000, it has lighting systems in it, has a marble look a like front, and is made to fit in the corner of a room. Nice cage. The snake is even better. He is from east bay vivarium and is a very nice Jungle.

Does anyone have any caresheets too? Just so I can get the specifics on temp, humidity, etc.
Thanks in advance.

I've only been keeping carpets for about a year now, so I'm hardly an expert on them, but a cage those dimensions should be perfect for an adult jungle. I recently took in a 3 year old male jungle and he is currently housed in a ten gallon tank (quarantine tank). Even so, he still has a fair amount of room to move around because he's no more than four feet long and pretty slender. I believe the previous owner kept him in a twenty gallon tank. As for links to a good care sheet, go to the one listed below. At the top of that page are some care sheet and breeding links that are excellent. I've found the carpets to be pretty easy to care for - no more difficult than my redtails, in fact. Because of that and their beauty, I went from none to 5 in the past year. All in all, I think they're great snakes and you'll definitely enjoy your new addition.

Here is a great caresheet by Anthony. If you have any questions after reading it, we're here
