African Fat Tail feeding question

israel68 Dec 24, 2003 07:22 AM

Ok I just bought an african fat for my girlfriend for x-mas.
Problem I'm having is he is not eating crickets, haven't tried mealworms yet. But my gut feeling is that he's going to eat them. Seeing that's what the petstore had in there with him.

My question is: Is there a way I can get him eating crickets, because I hate dealing with mealworms.

He's probably not eating because of stress ..i would just leave him alone for now until maybe..a week an then try feeding

you would be a complete fool to try to switch him over to crickets, mealworms are so much cheaper and they dont carry parasites like crickets can.

I'm not saying its a 100% bad thing but mealworms IMO are better!

Seeing as it's just an opinion, I'd think it best to not call him a fool.

I've never had a problem with crickets. Right now I have a Tokay and white's tree frog and bibron's gecko that eat crickets, it just makings feedings so much easier having everything eating crickets.
Just dump crickets in feeding container, walk by tanks and dump the enough crickets in each tank.
