Ball pooping schedule

knotfreak Dec 24, 2003 09:19 AM

My ball python hasn't gone #2 in a month. I know he goes #1 cos I see white chalky solids sometimes in the cage. His eats normaly and temps are good. Right now he's getting ready to shed. I tried rubbing it's belly gently last week but nothing came out. Should I be concerned?

Mine usually only "go" about once per month.
Unless they are fasting. Then it is even less
often.

if hes getting ready to shed theres a high likely hood of him leaving a hot steamer.

When my BP was younger(2-4 months old) he would crap about every two weeks. Now that he is past 6 months old he only craps once a month, but he does leave urate around the tank evey week or so.

You can tell when they are a couple days from crapping because the end of the tail gets fat with the last inch or so remaining normal size.
