i think i got a big problem

as yall know today is christmas eve.....and my step dad got me an iguana....after looking at the iguana for a few minutes i saw that its tail is crusty with like brown dry skin.....and it has that stuff in between its leg also...its missing fingers... and it has some red parasite things crawling around him..i dont know much about iguanas but it is just sitting on the heat rock and doesnt do nething else....is this serious???? should i take him to a vet??

get rid of the hot rock and get it to the vet.

Sounds like you have a dehydrated iguana with stuck shed and some mites to boot. Soak it in lukewarm water for a while... Purchase some mite treatment (provent a mite and black knight work great). Treat it according to the instructions given with it.

Then... Start looking for some iguana care information.

I'm not sure as I've never dealt with it, but could the tail have dry gangrene, if that's the right term? I think I remember someone here pointing it out in a picture as a brown, dry, bumpy condition on the tail, but I could be wrong.
