Sorry if this has been repeated. Just wanted to know those that have kept leos long what your ambeint temps right now? I'm gone till Feb. my wife is caring for my 6 leos and other herps. So we where talking on the phone the other day she notice it felt cold in their cages and the leos slightly cold. It was one of the rare cold and rainy las vegas nights and I just told her to turn up the heater. I also asked her to document every leo ambient temp the hot spot over the flex watts and the hide boxes. Its been a few day she said the ambient temps are 72-74 typically and the hides being 80-84 the hot spot is still what the thermomstat is set at 90, they also still eatting a good bit sounds like not less than half of what they eat in summer. So I know its ok for a drop in temps for winter and some say good for breeding which I plan to do. But what normal winter temps? I often wonder if its not going thru a full blown burmation if its good? I mine you have a animal thats put threw a slight drop in temps and in turn its alittle slower and eatting less but still eating. Ofcourse it can still thermoregulate to high enough temps to digest food but what if I had used reostat and the baskign temp was 76-78 probably just wouldn't eat much and be very inactive?
