Gargoyles not Breeding

Crested12 Dec 24, 2003 02:56 PM

I purchased a pair of Gargoyle geckos from a friend about 4 months ago. they are three years old and havent produced eggs yet. I am positive i have a pair. The previous owner didn't provide a cooling down period for them and i have decided to try to. the cage has been running aboout 72-73 degrees during the day. and about 70 at night for the past 2 months. Does this sound good? when should i start boositing the temp up to the high 70's again? also, is it possible to have an incompatable pair of gargoyle geckos like it is poss for leachies? I have seen no signs of fighting. They are in a 2*3*2 cage with plenty o cover and hidind spots. eating babyfood with crested diet. But they arent font of crickets. anyway. any input would be great. thanks> Ben Hoksch

Start offering alot of crickets and every other feeding dust with calcium. I beleave offering live food will help produce breeding and egg laying. This is my second year breeding gargoyles and the female is already gravid.
