Feeding Question

Jonathon Dec 24, 2003 07:10 PM

Will a Ball Python not eat a live mouse if it senses it might be sick? Because my Ball Python will not eat. Now I am thinking it may be due to this time of the year. The mice appear to me to be ok in health wise. What might be the problem? Thanks for any help.

I would bet it is the time of year and has nothing to do with the prey's health. Too many snakes will eat sick animals to say that. Your prey might smell different and that is part of it.(different bedding used or something) but I would bet it is just being a BP and going into breeding mode.
