This weekend I'm going to cut a vent in the floor and cover it with screen. I hope the exhaust fan pulls cool air from under the shed.

or else you'll get some funky critters comin inside ur shed!..

1/4" is good.. then you could top it with window mesh to keep the bugs out..

i put vents into my doors of my rodent shed, and it helps cool it a great deal..

best of luck

I was going to put wire window screen, but putting it over some 1/4" or 1/2" is a great idea.

Thanx Dan!

yup.. wire window screen would take a wild rat about 1/8th of a second to get thru LOL..

hardware cloth is the ONLY way to go..

best of luck

i think it was about 108 today where i live. luckily i dont have my rats in a shed. haha.
if it gets any hotter in your shed...maybe you could misters?? just a thought i dunno how well it would work.

Another great idea! I have a dead space about 2'X 2' behind my shed. It's bordered by a cinderblock wall on two sides, the garage wall and the back of the shed. I could run a hose under the shed, put on a mister, then draw the cool air into the shed from the floor. I built the shed up on bricks so there should be plenty of space under neath. I'll have to block off the front. Going to be a busy weekend.

I might want to run it only on real hot days though, I don't want to make the snakes to cool.

Thanx the-mikester!
