I'm new to hogs but not to snakes. I mostly work with corn snakes and I also have a pair of boa's.
I picked this pair of westerns at a herp show about a month ago, so I desided to show them off.
I really like the way they try to act houghy but never bite
( it's very cute).

Corn snakes are still my favorite, but I think these little hogs are more cute.

yeah these hoggies are very cute,
but i too love me corns,and you have whats not avaiable in the uk at the momment, pewters,love to see a pic or 2 of them,

Wow, great snakes and great photography! I love Corns too and you seem to have a nice variety going. I have only one snake, a Carpet Python, and have been looking for a nice smaller sized snake. I do public demos and while the Python is great for that, sometimes he's in shed, and sometimes it's just not practical to be lugging around a 9 pound 7 foot snake. I've been trying to narrow down my selection over the past few months and have recently started seriously considering a Hognose. Your pics just sinched that decision. What adorable little faces!!! I still have lots of research to do, not to mention I'd really like an Albino which is likely hard to find and rather pricey, but after seeing those pics I am so very excited now. Those are some of the best pics I've seen. Congrats on your adorable new snakes!

As far as being cute, I think that is in the eye of the beholder. My 6 foot boa is in her own way, cute to me.

Thanks. I found some albinos online but the price is way out of my league (between one and two thousand dollars) so I'll have to just forget that idea. They have nice red phase ones for about $200, much more in my ball park. I also found tri-colors as low as $275 which would be a great price if they are proven feeders (the site didn't specify what they were eating, or if they were eating). I liked some of the other types of hognoses, but several seemed to be fussy feeders, preferring toads/frogs to rodents. Maybe I'd be best off to just start with a nice Western for now, and branch off into the other morphs down the road. Thanks again for posting your beautiful photos!
