I recently acquired a beautiful Tri-colored hog from Jim McDonald but I was recently looking at pictures of different tropical tri's and I can't decide what species I have. I am sure Jim could clear this right up, what species is most commonly available? I thought it was L. pulcher but do the adults lose their bands and turn all black? Check out hognose.com's photo gallery and look up all the Lystrophis.

I know Jim's breeders still have their bands, so they must not be L. pulcher's if L. pulcher's turn all black as adults. But I don't know anything about tri-color hogs.
