Pumpkin - just finished laying a clutch of eggs when I opened the door to her tank. She kept an eye on me to make sure I wasn't stealing her babies-to-be.

ok this is annoying...so many people are able to get such GREAT pics of their reptiles...but I can't get close ups this clear and well, this close. Are there just a lot of professional photographers here? What's your secret and what advice for somebody who owns an automatic non digital cameral? It does have close up features and zoom but even then I can't seem to get pics as good as this one.

Hmm, timing and praactice? I have adigital camera and found that I get about 1 good shot for every 5-6 I take. Most of the ttime the problem is the camera is not held still enough. Other times it's the gecko's fault. They just don't seem to want to co-operate for me and hold still. A digital camera is definately your friend in trying to take good pictures as you can take as many as you want and throw out the bad ones without paying for the developing. I've found my self using my camera a lot more since I got the digital camera last year.

Looks like I will put money aside for a digital camera...unless I manage to master my current camera. I seem to keep forgetting little features and methods to take close ups...practice is deffinitely something I need. Now if I can just find the box the film is packed in I can take some pictures again LOL. Found the camera last night....hate moving..such pain to unpack all the boxes and find places for the junk you keep moving from place to place. Still haven't found my timers for my lizard's lights and stuff..sigh.
