I was wondering if that digi was any good? And if there are any better ones for around the same price, maybe cheaper. Thanks

I have the older version of this camera, the Dimage 5. I have used this camera for a year and a half, with excellent results. The Dimage 5 has 49mm filter threads, which allow me to use closeup lens. I have used a plus 1, plus, 2 and plus 4 closeup lens while in the macro mode, with good results. The Z-1 has a better zoom range (38-380mm), and more improvements in the electronics. The only minuses that I can see, is, the Electronic veiwfinder no longer swivels up 90 degrees. I use this to get upclose, low angle macro shots, without having to lay on the ground. The zoom is also electric, not manual, which uses battery power. This is not as big a deal as it used to be, as there are external battery packs that will significantly extend shooting times with digital cameras.
