I keep on finding a lot of white thread like worms about .25" in my tank... They're all over the place and lately I've been finding them on wet glass squirming around... Any ideas what they are ? Does anyone else have them?

and I have no idea what they are. As far as I can tell, my frogs don't care one way or the other. I've seen a frog eat one on more than one occasion. If they're parasitic, my frogs don't appear worse for the wear.
If anyone could identify them, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!

I usually find them around rotting plant material. But not always. I'm suprised anyone else noticed them. I also find them in my Springtail cultures.

I have had these as well. Although I would not be alarmed. I have actually seen my frogs eat them many times and caused them no harm. I was afraid to see them eat the worms(or whatever they are) but it has been many months and the frogs are ok. In my opinion they are just decomposers but I cant be sure. They could be even FF larva , just a thought. Anyhow I wouldnt be worried.

I have them in my leucs home and am pretty sure they are some kind of slug, either from the plants or the moss. they don't seem to do anyharm but i figure if their numbers are vry high that they would start to eat the plants.

I have these in my terrarium as well. I am certain that they are either Grindel Worms or White Worms, which are decomposers which are found in areas similar to those occupied by springtails.
I used to raise these to feed to small tropical fish. They are high in protein and fat, but they were sometimes hard to raise because they have a tendency to boom and crash in population size, and springtails often tend to invade the cultures and outcompete them.
My tinc seems to enjoy them as an occasional treat, but she often overlooks them for meatier items or springtails. In short, you shouldn't worry about them. They come in on the plants or moss.

They aren't slugs and there is no danger of them being parasitic or transferring parasites to your frogs. Lots of things will come and go in your vivariums, especially if they are healthy vivariums. Most are doing a biological job and we're luck to have them.
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
