Three days ago I purchased a subadult female leopard gecko. Since then she has eaten several mealworms but has not gone to the bathroom. I know that she was previously kept on a fine sand substrate. She is still under warranty. Should I assume that there is impaction or is this at all normal? I need to know if there is no hope for her. If she is impacted, can a vet help her? Thank you.

frist of all leopard geckos need to be fed mainly crickets, and mealworms are a once in a while treat. plus mealworms are really hard for them to digest and it will take them a while before they go to the bathroom.

I feed mainly mealworms. This was recomended to me by most people on this forum.

Hey,
I wouldnt worry just yet. The gecko might still need time to adjust to its new surroundings. If you feel that it is impacted however, a drop of food oil on its mouth would help to pass through easily.
Also, a staple of mealworms is fine.
