I'd be curious to know if your friend has a timber or a cane. I've only ever seen photos of two true albino horridus horridus, one found by Steve Harwig, the other photographed by Howard Reinert, I don't know if he found the snake or someone else did. And just in case you ask, they're not available for sharing. Sorry, I wish they were.

A friend of mine Chuck Hurd (SHHS website team member)was down close by and we decided to do a little snake searching ourselves.(back in the fall)..I mentioned to him that i had a friend up the road that had quite the collection of Crotalus species as well as others. So after the day was over,we went on over to my friends house where he has the Adult Albino timber/Cane..........Im not 100% sure its a timber, but almost,so tomorrow i will find out for sure,i may even get some photos if he allows...........
There have been a surprising number of albino timbers found in N.Y. and Penn. although most were found by roundup participants ans skin hunters. There are a number of reports and even some old black and white photos on the net. I don't remember any exact addresses, I just found them by accident one night when I was bored and was typing things like "Timber Rattlesnake, C. horridus, and albino rattlesnake" into the search engine just to see what would be brought up. BTW, does anybody know if they have managed to get that Rudy Koremek (sp?) clown behind bars yet?
Rudy has done time already, it was hardly a long enough sentence, about six months, and that was in the eighties. No one has been able to nail him for anything as of late, but FWS and NYS DEC are constantly on the lookout for him. He is occasionally seen in the hudson highlands of NY and the allenwood area of PA. Alot of people believe that he has run his course, while others think his course ends the day he dies. lol

All i know is it came from New Jersey,so im going to find all the info, and maybe get some good pics of this snake. He would not lend it out for breeding loans either.........However im going to get some more info
There was an animal posted on kingsnake classifieds or forum(?) @ the beginning of this year - I believe it originated from W. VA. It was awesome (& PURE Timber) but in questionable health. Hope it survived...it sure wouldn't have made it in the wild.
Yeah well like i said im going to try to get some pics ASAP.Never knew they were so uncommon, this one is in great shape and been in captivity for years
Too much talk of Rudy made me wonder if his website was still up and running. And it is! he has pictures of albino timbers. He also has lots of timbers for sale this spring I wish I never looked at the site now. I posted Rudys site if you want to look.
