Hi everyone, and belated Merry Christmas. I would like to get a frog and am happy to have such a nice place to get information. As you can see from my signature line I have several reptiles and fuzzy pets, but no amphibians. I have a 30 Gallon High Critter Tank with an UTH and heat lamp, I picked up a block of bed-a-beast, a water bowl, and some silk hanging plants. I will add more to it once I decide what type of frog is going into the tank, more plants, caves, driftwood, etc... I am looking into a few diff types of frogs right now but am wide open to suggestions if any of you have fav frogs to suggest to beginners. I already have plenty of crickets, mealies, waxies, and super worms on hand for the Leos, so I'd like a frog that would be content with those foods (no fruit fly eaters). I have no problems with feeding mice if needed when they grow up. I've heard certain types of frogs like mice. I know it's not good to handle frogs, but I would like one that won't take my finger off when I try to move it out of the enclosure for cleaning. I've heard some frogs can be nippy and have a powerful bite. I would like one that would be happy in the 30 gallon once it reaches full size. I'm looking into Albino Green Tree Frogs, Blue White's Tree Frogs, and a type of Walking Frog that I can't remember the exact name of. Maybe Tiger or Tiger Leg? The more active the better, the more unique the better, if there are any frogs that could tolerate being picked up and held every once in a while that would be a huge plus too. Please let me know what some of your fav frogs are and why. Pics would be great. And what type of frog do you think would work in the setup I've described? Thanks so much
