Gravid Female Papuan Python?!! What do you think? Here she is.

Frank k Dec 26, 2003 07:35 PM

I have witnessed many copulations but I also witnessed alot last year too. She also did this flipping of her belly and seemed to ovulate. It looks like she had a pre ovulation shed and now looks huge and her scales are expanded. She is gyrating in weird positions and flipping her belly up to the heat light alot. I am hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that I can at least have a shot at incubating some Papuan eggs this year. My other female also just shed and looks like she is hopefully on her way to some eggs also. I will post pictures of both females.

She sure looks gravid to me. Good luck. Makes me sad I sold off my lone female last year! Papuans are so nice.

You need to produce them this year so I can get a nice cb pair from you! I love to see breeders making progress with rare pythons. Keep us posted!

Best of luck to you!

But that doesn't mean anything from me! LOL

Get your cooker ready, and pull those eggs asap. The female pap, (if she lays.) is going to be an angry bugger when you try to take the eggs away... I think everyone has their fingers crossed for you man.

hasta,
J
