Need opinions on what the minimum weight to breed a female is

GeckoGekko Feb 09, 2003 07:17 AM

I was wondering at what weight do breeders here on this forum introduce their females to males for breeding. The reason I'm asking is because I purchased a female het for amelanistic AFT in mid December and it came to me looking gravid. She was 40 grams when I got her and after she laid her eggs is now 36 grams. She seems fine after laying and is ate a pinkie the day after and a couple of waxies. I'm interested in knowing if anyone has had any females, Leopards or AFT's gravid at around 40 grams and if there had been any problems with females after being bred at that weight. Advice from people with personal experiences with breeding Leopard's and AFT's would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bruce N
