thius is my female tri-stripe, with a little luck perhaps she will give me a few eggs this year. has anyone out there bred tri-striped animals together, and if so what was the ratio of stripes to normals?
From what I know, this is a dominant trait; therefore, it would depend on what genotype your animals have. Each of them could either be heterozygous or homozygous. It's most likely that both are heterozygous, and this would result in approximately 25% normals and 75% striped. If just one of them is homozygous, then all the babies will be striped.
