Dwarf Caimen Info

Hi, I have been researching Dwarf Caimens for a while
but have a couple of more questions I was unable to find. How long does it take a dwarf caimen to reach adult size? What is
the full grown size of a dwarf caimen and how old do they have to be before you can determin the sex.

What do you mean by adult size? Breeding size is around 10 years or so depending on the animal. However they can at times grow another foot or so after they reach breeding size.

What is the full grown size of a dwarf caimen
3-5 feet depending on sex and individual variation.

and how old do they have to be before you can determin the sex. It depends on good you are. I am not much good at it untill they reach at least 6 moths but some people are better than that.

I wouldn't consider a Dwarf Caiman (I assume Cuvier's) until you have read this entire web site... http://crocodilian.com/paleosuchus/

You never know everything you need to know about owning a caiman. This is NOT a corn snake or a ball python, and learning as MUCH as possible about these animals BEFORE you own one will help you become a better, more responsible owner, and make sure that your first experience with a caiman is a GOOD one.
