Nikon Coolpix 4300 questions and concerns...

Keith Hillson Dec 27, 2003 01:46 AM

Anybody here own one of these ? I just got one and I love it. One thing that bothers me though is is seems rather noisey It makes clicking noises as if its trying to focus or something and it does it constantly unless im in the menu or something. Is it supposed to do this or should I bring it back ?

I used the 4300 up until recently upgrading to the 5700 and was extremely pleased with it. It should not be making the noise you describe however as the only noise mine made was when foucusing.

I can hear the zoom and the clicking but only when there is no other noises. I have NOT hear anything loud at all out of mine. I still have no clue how to use it for the most part other than point and shoot, but hey it takes WONDERFUL pics.

I think the 4300 is the "best bang for the buck." I think what you are hearing is it constantly focussing. Put it in manual mode and manual focus and see if you still hear the noise. I don't think you have a problem.

Happy Winter Herping.
