When breeding, does the actual breeding occur during the cooldown period or after the snakes have been warmed back up?

Some of mine begin copulation as soon as their heat comes back up. Different animals will behave/breed differently. Keep in mind, too, that just because you have a m/f pair there is no guarantee that they will ever take to each other. Damn bp's can be so picky when it comes to dating!!!
