We had two. It did raise the humidity nicely but both the iguana that had it and the WD that had it destroyed it. It also got extremely hot. Over all as a product it works in theory, but heavier bodied lizards seem to break it easily. For a juvie it would work, but make sure dish it is in is not easily accessable to animal.

They are not a good idea...too much money, problems and stress for the animals usually result...we tried it for a while but why not get a really good 20 dollar hand mister from walmart...works way better and it's more controlled.

$20 for a mister?
try the dollar store. nice squirt bottle with mist option, $1.00.
that's $19.00 left for food and such.

Okay first off, no, you don't wanta "fogger." What you wan't is a Ultrasonic Humidifier, it goes by the same concept but you can get them at walgreens and places like that for much cheaper. I got mine for 20 dollars, it holds 2 gallons of water. I put it on the top of my enclosure and used PVC pipe to feed teh fog down into the tank. It works very well! I have it on a timer to go off twice a day for an hour each time. But make sure you use DISTILLED WATER! Not dechlorinated water, or water you leave in the sun for 48 hours, that is not distilled water. You can buy distilled water at safeway or any other grocery store usually for 50 cents a gallon. I use about 1 gallon a week. But I live in phoenix and its usually an average of 10-15% humidity here. I use to hand mist, but I'm not home all day and if misted it it would go pretty high, for like an hour then drop down to 40 again. But with this i can keep it around 60 all day, and 90 when its on.

So don't go to a pet store and buy anything like this, they'll over charge you, you don't want a fogger, there dangerous and ineffective, you want an Ultrasonic HUMIDIFIER, remember that. Pictures eh? hmmm.. I have some, a bunch actually, let me see.

These pictures were taken when I had it on for about 45 minutes, but now that im using PVC pipe to redirect it, the PVC pipe absorbs some of the moisture, so it doesnt get as foggy.

Heres mine, the pipe goes about 4 inches into the tank which can't be seen because of the 1 foot lip i have on the top and bottom of the enclosure.
