I have recently bought a Adult pair of Arizona Mtn Kings (mid Nov) The female to my eyes looked on the thin side when I bought her but after feeding her 2 or 3 fuzzys every 3 days for the last 6 weeks she has put on a reasonable amount of weight.
After weighing them on my new Christmas present (digital scales) the male is 34in long and 248g and the female 29in long and 134g.

The question is would like to ask is... as I dont know the age of the snakes (I was told "a couple of years old" ) is the female the right weight to hibernate prior to breeding ?

I am sure that I have read somewhere that there is a weight and size guide for breeding colubrids.........ie 300g min for most Kings and Corns

Thanks
Peter
