I recently had two garters shed for the first time. Is it typical for them to get dark 1-2 weeks before shedding? Both of their spots/stripes all just became brown. Ive seen cal kings shed, and the only notice you can tell is their eyes turn blue. Also one of the garters shed broke halfway, leaving half on his body. I ended up pulling the rest off, is that a wise decision?
