can you place a thermostat probe ON the heat tape?

rudedogsurfrat Dec 27, 2003 10:27 PM

I was thinking fo warming my mouse tubs with the removable heat strip from a freedom breeder rack (the heat tape is housed in a metal panel). Can I put the thermostat probe on the metal housing and hold it there with tape??

I do this by placing the probe down on the heat tape then taping it down with electrical tape. Hope that helps!
