pipatic Dec 28, 2003 07:46 AM

albino male, mated to a female super hypo and a female patternless,
the F1's take =1 male normalish looking and 2 female hypo

take 1 male and 2 females from this group and then breed
this group together,
should give you very interesting results,
maybe
albino,
het for albino
super hypo
paternless
patternless het albino,
would this be corret ?????

is this what you are saying?
if you breed
male albino x super hypo
and
male x patternless
take a male from thepatt x albino
and two females from the albinox super hypo
breed those together you would get

i think this is right
25% albino (may or may not carry the hypo gene)
50% het for albino -may look hypo or may not since hypo is a selectively bred trait rather than a genetic mutation ei... recessive or dominant- but otherwise appearing normal
25% normal possible carrying the hypo gene as stated above just not hets
now out of the normal appearing offspring (or possibly hypo as explained above) you have no way of know which are or arent hets until you breed them so anything not an albino is considered 66% het albino

now after all that their is a slight possibility that a couple of these anima could be het patternless, i think its like a 1/16 ration but i could be wrong
blah too early for science
here is a link to a good site explaining genetics
genetics tutorial
