Rocks and Turtles

fatal Dec 28, 2003 12:18 PM

Hi i was just wondering what your opinions are on putting rocks in with your turtles. I have heard good things and bad. Good being that it helps to control the length of their nails, bad being that it can scratch up the turtles shell. What do you all think?

By using relatively smooth and/or flat stones, you can have the advantages of nail and beak wear without risking excessive abrasion of the shell. It might help to provide a flat stone to walk across rather than to climb over.
