Trouble Pooping.

svinarsk Dec 28, 2003 06:52 PM

My ig hasnt pooped for 2 days and I am starting to really worry... He has gone away from his main heat source and now is on the bottom of the tank where his heat pad is. The heat pad is luke warm so there is no way it can burn the little iggy. Is this normal?! He ate last night just fine (he likes to eat during the evening/night). What can I do? Please help!

Thank you so much.

He had been sitting at the bottom of his tank for the whole day now. Is this normal as well? His whole body is pressed up against the bottom of the tank. Why doesnt he just go to his main heat source (ceramic lamp [outside of cage]) or under his other heat lamp. The temps inside the cage is about 80-85 all aroundand about 95-100 at the hottest point.

give him a bath in warm water.. soak for about half an hour change water as needed. also rub his stomach gently in circular motion and if he is inpacted it will help to break it up. also try and get him to drink he may be dehydrated.
