Hey all, I just thought I would ask everyone how many females that they breed each male with. I have a long term plan that I have come up with and for the most part I am just breeding two females with each male but I was wondering can I increase this number with out losing potency or what not. What is the maximum effective numbers that can effectively be used. Also is this the same for the other members of this family as well as retics. Thanks in advance for any responses. Todd

I generally will breed any given male with two females, and sometimes a third, but I wouldn't be surprised if a single male could successfully impregnate many more females. I say this because I will allow a male to breed with one female quite a few times before moving him on to the next female (just to be sure). So technically by the time he is on his second female he has bred half a dozen times or more. So by theory, that could have been half a dozen females once each.

But I'd sure like to know exactly how many females one male could service too. I think Rob's brother Chris would be the one to ask. He seems very textbook and factually thorough in his knowledge and it seems like something he would know. Rob, if you're reading this can you ask Chris if he knows this? Thanks.
