D.auratus

I have some auratus (grn/blk) and I have never seen a pattern to match mine. So I wanted to post a few pics to see what everyone thinks. Most of the ones I see have a bolder color pattern where the ones I got have thin pinstripes around them. well check them out and tell me what you think. The pics are not too great. Horrible compared to Kyle's so I hope you can deal with it. I only have an ELF to do my digital camera work with. The colors are off. They are a bit more irridescent than showing.

Your auratus look very much like mine. Mine are from the Canal Zone in Panama. Where did you acquire them? Mine are F1 from Chuck Powell. Here are a couple pics of mine.

mine do look just like yours. nice right. they are the most beuatiful auratus i've seen. I got mine from A.J and Carol at T&C Terrariums. I was amazed when they arrived. I never thought they would be that pattern and color. Your pics are truer to the real color. Mine are really irridescent almost aqua blue like yours, not green at all. I am going to email AJ and ask him where he got his from. Mine are still juvis. So I don't know what i got. How long have you had yours? And how do I get in touch with Chuck Powell?

Very nice right!!!!!!

Yeah, this particular pattern isn't exactly common in the trade but they are out there. Fact is, there are so many auratus morphs in the trade that we all have something a little on the (dare I say) rare side. As far cas contacting Chuck Powell on these, his WC trio is 16 years old and haven't bred for a while. We're hoping that they produce at least a few more clutches but their time is about up. I'm also hoping that these 2 turn out to be 1.1 and if not, I don't know where else to go I'll contact AJ myself and see what I can discover. Truly a beautiful aqua blue irredescence!! The camera and lighting can really be a trick but under 5000k full spec lighting they are awesome!!

yeah i have been bummed out about my pics because they don't do justice but with my lighting they are beautiful. I am glad i found someone else who has the same as me. I am not looking to buy too many more although when these hit maturity maybe one or two males would do the job. anyway that's way down the road.

take it easy

Not bad, but its a good idea to reduce the size to 640x480 or less. Most people do not run there monitors at high enough resolution to see these without scrolling.
