Anyone working with this species or know where I can acquire some? Most articles I have read only mention natural history, anyone have any good info on captive propgeation, diet, enclosure...etc?

AKA Black Swamp Sankes for those only familiar with the common name

I know of few people who have kept this species and I've never heard of a captive breeding. The single individual I've cared for ate tadpoles readily and seemed to do well on the slightly moistened cypress mulch he was on. This species has enormous osmotic water loss through the skin and will dehydrate quickly without a moist substrate. I've heard they'll eat leeches and aquatic insects as well. If you get ahold of one, let us know how it does for you.
