Ways to make my BP less shy?

MuscaDomestica Dec 29, 2003 12:40 PM

I have had my pet Ball Python for about a year now. She is doing very well her sheds are good, and she has had no problems eating. The only problem is the fact she is shy. I hold her for about 20 mintues three or four times a week. I know this is a trait for Ball Pythons but I am wondering what people have done to make the snake more accepting of human contact?

try not to limit your handlngs for only 20 mins. I hold mine for as lng as an hour or more sometimes. when she was a hatchling (back in april) she was shy, and aggressive so i would touch the top of her head periodically...it took up until july but shes no head shy, shy, or aggressive
