Hi!I read that your biggest yellow conda male is about 10ft!It's really huge I think, is this size normal for a green male?So my qst is: is there any different between the yellow and green male anaconda size?TNX!!!

` My big male Yellow was fed a great deal for his first two years because he will hand-feed, and it is fun to feed him. It was not the best thing for his health. It did make him grow tremendously. Also, it added to his already easy going nature about feeding, and he became incredibly gentle about feeding.
` Because overfeeding shortens their life so significantly, for the last three years his feeding has been has been greatly reduced, as he grows. Yet, he is sexually mature ( for sure ), and still growing strongly. He is over 30 pounds. My other males are nowhere near this size. I think that his weight is more surprising than his length. He looks like a female, stout and thick bodied.
` I think the only way to have a good guess at their size, is to know about the parents. It also helps in just about every other way to get a good animal. I do think that some green males have the potential to get a Hell of a lot larger than 10 feet! And, some don't.

` Here's the picture Renee Owens ( "redhed", in this forum ) posted a while back, of a wild breeding group. You can see quite a difference in sizes of males which are mature, or think/wish they are. That big male at the tail end may never be the same!!

It's amazing how much bad behavior is caused by living conditions. Things you wouldn't think were stress related.
