Dont have a beardie yet but some questions--

Do you have a 'play area' for when you take out your beardie? How do they like to spend thier fun time? Climbing things? Do they really play with stuffed animals/chew toys?

Just wondering if they'd like something to do when watching TV with me.

Most of my beardies just like a little one on one time with me. And it's usually when I'm watching TV towards the end of the evening when they are calm and ready to sleep. In the summer, I take walks with them and let them sun themselves in the outdoor sun cage or play in the kiddy pool. Unfortunatly, not much to do with them in the winter. None of my beardies have chew toys or play with stuffed animals. And basically the only climbing thing would be me, my hubby, or the sofa.

climbing around and looking inside possible hiding places.

my BD just roams the apt. climbs up on stuff to sun / bask and to watch us humans do stuff.

any kind of small box, or any furniture that has a small area they can find will be a target.

just make sur that stuff like the kitchen is "Well protected" kinda like "Baby proofing" on a short scale

if they can find a place to hide that you cant get to they will... then you have to play "Find the sleeping dragon" !

I love it when my gf comes home and the first thing I have to say is "We're playing hide and seek...she won!" The last time it took me a good couple of hours to find here she was between the fridge and the cabinet about 2 feet back. Good think she didn't go any further, she could have gone back behind the cabinets and I NEVER would have found her!

Mine loves to sit in his hammock and watch my Fish Aquarium ScreenSaver move back and forth. Like watching television 7 hours straight. His next nearest neighbor is "Jedi", a black-bear hamster, and all he does is sleep all day and chew on his cage at night. No wonder he never gets his beauty sleep!
