Wow those are some nice snakes! I've never had a Scarlet Kingsnake but wow those are cool. Did you catch all of those?

The two hatchling scarlet kings I have were given to me one by a student and one by Kevin Enge. The big one I got on a snake call. They called and said they had a coral snake in their garage. I'm always hoping for a scarlet king on those calls.
I teach middle school science so students bring me snakes fairly regularly I only keep the cool ones. The ringneck was from a student.
Would it take a long time for a hatchling Scarlet King to reach adulthood? I'm thinking about getting one but I don't know yet. Do yours bite?

They are squirmy and do bite but are so small they don't break the skin.
