Hi, i allready have a kingsnake and 2 rainbow boas and im thinking of getting 2 more snakes and i think the Amazon Tree Boa is a facinating snake, does any of you have experience with them and can share me what you think about them, are they easy to take care for and are they agressive? or please give me a site with info on them so i can read myself. If i buy them i also want to breed with them.

Greets,

Michiel

I have 7 Amazons right now, I love them. the variable coloring and the high intelligence level makes them very rewarding for me. As far as care goes, they are not too difficult as long as you keep up with regular mistings(2-3 times a day with a dry-off period between)and regulated temperatures(I use blacklight bulbs in dome lamps regulated by a thermostat). One thing to definitely take into consideration is the fact that these snakes can and usually are VERY agressive. If you don't mind being bitten by needle teeth every now and again, you'll be ok, lol. To get some more info and good care sheets, check out www.urbanjungles.com John and Danny are both great, I've dealt with John several times personally and can vouch for the quality of his animals. Matt at GHI Reptiles and Ben Seigel are also 2 other great sources for amazons. Hope it helps,
Adam
