Do some beardies never brumate?

mismodliz Dec 29, 2003 04:53 PM

This is my second winter with Telamon, and he's shown no signs of slowing down. Do some never brumate? Is there a specific age by which most start (if they will ever brumate) or an age that they pass and you know they never will?

I had one that never brumated in 8 years. He would eat less in winter but that was it.

they don't need to in the wild, so how is it strange that one wonldn't in captivity?

i don't find it strange, or bad! i would prefer if he never did! just wondering if there are time frames/certain ages to pick up on.
