Little guy wont eat greens

ffm11 Dec 29, 2003 06:27 PM

I just recently got a bearded dragon that is about 2 months old. The man I bought him from said he was accustomed to crickets in the morning and greens at night. He hasn't touched his greens yet. Is it because he is new to the enclosure or is there some other explantion?

First of all, young dragons are not big on greens at all. Second, crickets should be fed later rather than sooner. I sudjest greens in the morning and crickets at night. in the afternoon, the dragons are more energized and want to hunt. in the morning, they may want greens more because it's easyer on a drowsey dragon.
